Forklift Training Can Reduce Accidents and Accident Related Costs

Forklifts are commonly used in many businesses in order to easily move materials from one location to another. While forklifts may seem easy to operate, they clearly are not. According to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, forklift accidents result in more than 100 deaths per year and cause some 20,000 injuries. While these injuries and the loss of life are surprising, the costs related to them are also staggering.

The costs related to forklift accidents total more than $100 million per year. Clearly, safe operation of forklifts is critical in order to improve safety and reduce accidents and the costs related to such accidents. Forklift training can help to ensure that workers receive the knowledge they need to safely operate forklifts securely. In addition, forklift safety training makes it possible to avoid potential forklift accidents that could result in an injury or even worse.
